The survey covers a wide range of topics: fire insurance, the value of work, physical and mental work, job satisfaction, Sunday work, church attendance, belief in God, immortality of the soul, frequency of prayer, comparison of faith with parents, need for religious education, compulsory religious instruction, political involvement of priests, nationalization of churches. The SASD provides a reconstruction of the research results, compiled on the basis of final reports intended for state authorities and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Slovakia. Neither the data nor the original questionnaire are available, but the SASD provides a reconstruction of the questions used in the questionnaire, and the basic results of the research are available online in an Excel file. The research was carried out using a purposeful sample selection to reflect as accurately as possible the estimated structure of the population of Slovak society at that time. As this was the post-war period and the last nationwide census was in 1931, with the next one not until 1951, it was not possible to use quota sampling. However, the nature of the sample indicates that the sample selection corresponded in several respects to the structure of Slovak society at the time of the research closest to the 1951 census.
