Abstract: The aim of the survey was to chart the issue of gender equality in the Slovakia with special emphasis on inequalities on the labour market. For the reasons of the trends study also a few questions discussing the topic of gender equality used in the previous research were included. Research devoted to the following areas: general perception of the status of women in the society; what should change as far as the status is concerned and which institutes should promote it; views on the status of women in the area of remuneration, career and political advancement, approach to studies, personal experience with the favouritism of the opposite sex at work and at school, views on the retirement age unification, how to help the socially and other handicapped ; willingness to travel abroad for work; use of computers and the Internet connection at home
